Workshop Introduction
Workshop Introduction
Mr. Itaru Tanabe, who runs a large carpentry business in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, began making chairs and accessories during the seasons when he was not working at the construction site, at the request of his wife. As he faced wood that he had previously discarded and breathed new life into it, he became absorbed in the process, saying, "It's surprisingly interesting."
We create one-of-a-kind products by interacting with each piece, from large scraps to small pieces of wood, to bring out the natural texture of the wood. This is Echizen Yosegi - tata -.
