Product Description
"Sea-themed glass" carved using traditional Edo Kiriko techniques
Carved into the colored glass are waves expressed with soft yet powerful curves.
The traditional Edo Kiriko patterns of "Kikutsunagi" and "Seigaiha" are arranged between the glass, creating an old glass that evokes the sea.
It is a little smaller than regular old glasses and is easy to handle.
The chrysanthemum pattern is popular for its beautiful shine, and the intricate cutting requires high skill. Please enjoy this exquisite handiwork that only Yamada Glass's craftsmen could achieve.
The sharp straight lines of the chrysanthemum connections and the soft, hand-drawn curves of the Seigaiha pattern.
The Kiku-tsunagi and Seigaiha patterns are randomly placed on each glass. The balance of the cuts, the colors, the positioning, and so on may all look the same, but no two glasses are exactly the same, and each glass expresses a unique ocean.
When light is shone on it, the light and colors reflected in the various cuts look like rippling water.
This is a glass that will catch your eye whether you pour a drink into it or just leave it on the table.
We combine traditional techniques with modern design sensibilities to produce high-quality, beautiful products. Please enjoy the techniques and beauty of these products.
