Product Description
"Auspicious Edo Kiriko" conveys feelings through two traditional patterns
The traditional Edo Kiriko pattern "Kikutsunagi" is engraved on the beautiful colored glass. Kikutsunagi is a popular pattern due to its beautiful shine, and the intricate cutting requires high skill.
The chrysanthemum pattern is engraved with tiny beads between them, creating Yamada Glass's unique "thin chrysanthemum and bead connected pattern," and is engraved with the traditional Japanese pattern of Seigaiha (wave pattern) and thick, dynamic, wave-like curves.
Both the chrysanthemum and the Seigaiha pattern are auspicious symbols. The chrysanthemum symbolizes eternal youth and longevity, while the Seigaiha pattern is imbued with the wish for a peaceful life.
The continuous pattern represents "connection" and is also said to be auspicious. This glass is recommended as a gift to convey celebratory feelings.
We combine traditional techniques with modern design sensibilities to produce high-quality, beautiful products. Please enjoy the techniques and beauty of these products.
